In an effort to reach more people where they are, we place added Online Sermons (and Podcasting!) to the First Parish Congregational Church website.

You have 4 options to listen to the FPCC sermons:

  Downloading: Click on the Download Sermons link, which will take you to a listing of each sermon that is currently online. We will be adding sermons weekly. The sermons are categorized by Year, by Pastor, and by Scripture. Each sermon will appear in each of those categories. They are the same sermon, they have just been categorized in multiple ways, to allow people to pick and choose to their own liking. Note that there will also be a category for special occassions, like Easter and Christmas. You can also search through the available sermons for the author (pastor), and scripture. To download the mp3, choose "Download". You can also play them via the mp3 player on your pc by choosing "View". 

 Streaming: Streaming media allows you to play the sermons directly from the website, without needing "Podcatcher" or MP3 player software. Simply click on the Streaming Sermons link,  then click the Online Sermons category  link. You will see a list of sermons available for you to listen to. Each one is listed Tindividually, along with a user rating, the category for the sermon,  author, and date the sermon was performed. A flash-image will appear - when it does, click on the play (green) button.  You can also click on the "Read More" link, which will open a detailed window that  also provides a link to the Order of Worship for that week, along with the abiliy to rate the sermon and provide comments for it. 

 Podcasting:  You can listen to the sermons via your Podcatcher (or mp3 player) software automatically by clicking on the Podcast link on the top menu and following the instructions presented by your software program.   (Note: If you receive an error, you might not have the appropriate software installed - choose one of he other options).  The FPCC sermons have also been submitted to Apple's ITunes software for podcast availability. This means that you can do a search on your ITunes software for "FPCC Wakefield", and it will find and automatically download the podcasts to your pc for your listening pleasure. The sermons will appear in the "Podcast" section of your Podcast software. Once they are on your computer, you can save them on your IPod, or other mp3 player.

 RSS Feed: You can click on the RSS link, and an RSS bookmark will be created in your web browser, with links to each individual sermon. As sermons are added, they will automatically appear. Once you click on the individual sermon, you will be taken to the link and you can play the sermon, as described above in the streaming section.
